Dr Nick Gow is an Infectious Disease and General Physician working at North Shore Hospital and in private practice at the Mercy Specialist Centre. He trained at Auckland University completing specialist training (FRACP) in 2016 after a fellowship at the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford. He has worked as a physician in Auckland since this time.
Nick’s expertise includes the management of adults with:
- Extrapulmonary tuberculosis
- Orthopaedic related infections including prosthetic joint infections
- Pyrexia of unknown origin
- Recurrent cutaneous abscesses
New referrals for people with HIV infection will need to be sent to the Infectious Disease Unit at Auckland City Hospital. Everyone with HIV infection regardless of their immigration status can be seen at Auckland City Hospital without being charged. The Infectious Disease Unit at Auckland City Hospital can provide Immigration Medical Reports for people with HIV infection again without charge.
